The little poem written on the front of the candle comes from an old Christmas tradition of lighting a green candle made of bayberry wax on Christmas Eve. The bayberries were collected and boiled for wax during the winter if they ran short on animal fat for traditional candles, therefore the tradition of sacrificially lighting a candle of bayberry till the very end on Christmas eve would bring money and prosperity for the following year. The alleged bayberry candle is great for all spells and intentions dealing with money and prosperity.
