Join Paul Reimers as we explore the Enneagram, a nine pointed figure enclosed in a circle is a symbol that G.I. Gurdjieff used in his teachings. It can be used to analyze hierarchies, the evolution of processes, and is widely used as a system of personality typology. What is especially powerful about this system is that it doesn’t just categorize, it shows influences that help to either center or cause us stress. This can be helpful when learning to deal with a different mix of personalities, especially those that may be challenging to our type.
We will cover:
-How to draw the Enneagram
-The 9 primary personality types/ archetypes and their qualities including notable examples of each from public and historical figures as well as movie characters
-How to find your type and the types of those close to you
-The things that tend to focus and center your type and what can tend to stress it
-An additional layer of personality known as wings
-The evolutionary pathways of each type as a map of personal growth
This will be an interactive class with plenty of discussion as we learn about The Enneagram and how to actively apply it to our lives and relationships. Please bring something to take notes with (either paper and pen or a device is fine). For anyone who wishes to draw it from scratch, you can bring a compass and protractor, but this is optional. I will bring blank paper for those who would like to do this part.
